This corporate cut-and-paste trend blows. I’ve spent a lot of time in boardrooms with corporate folk, and the thought of busting in and saying, “Yo! Youth Culture Trend Time! This medium that I’ve loved my entire life because it’s always stood for freedom of expression is the perfect platform for your next innovative ad placement,” makes me shake my head so hard.

Someone’s gotta feel me on this one…

Speaking of working in advertising, I’ve heard a number of other people who work in advertising compare themselves to Don Draper this year. It’s a thing. Thing is, none of them are alcoholics, womanizers or partners.

What a beautiful parody. I would love to see marketing get a little more Bukowskian. Get genuinely authentic… really real… strip the gloss… say fuck every once in a while… scrap the aspriationalism for some true grit.
